Thousands of dazzling lights added to magical winter wonderland this Christmas

Prepare for a magical winter wonderland this Christmas as a Staffordshire farm park is transformed into an interactive North Pole adventure complete with a new for 2023 winter light walkway.

The National Forest Adventure Farm, in Burton on Trent, will be taking on the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas as families are transported to the home of Father Christmas for a very magical festive experience.

The North Pole Adventure, which attracts over 16,000 visitors every year, will be returning to the family farm park for 17 days only and will this year feature a special entrance to the event with 70 metres of light curtains and a 6 metre light tunnel illuminating the night sky.

The ultimate Christmas experience, the event includes 10,000 square feet of indoor festive fun with a fully working traditional Victorian High Street, a magical talking polar bear under the ‘Northern Lights’ and gingerbread decorating as well as full access to the other activities at the 40-acre farm park and the new evening light experience.

Owners Ivor and Tom Robinson said it was important to create a truly magical experience for families looking for an extra special treat this festive season.

He said: “Christmas is a very magical time of the year and we wanted to create an experience which truly captured the special spirit of the season bringing an immersive day of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

“The North Pole Adventure recreates the sights, sounds and smells of one of the most miraculous places in the world – the home of Father Christmas himself, the North Pole.

“It is great to see the delight it brings to families as they create special memories together while soaking up the festive activities.”

The indoor immersive experience lasts around 1 hour 45 minutes. Families find themselves transported to Father Christmas’ hometown, where they can explore the Victorian High Street complete with sweet shop and pub to enjoy warming hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies. Once there help the Elves sort parcels and fix the toy machine to save Christmas. Under the Northern Lights meet the magical talking Polar Bear and sing festive songs with Silvermist the reindeer.

Then keep the elves on time by ringing the bells and try your hand at decorating gingerbread men with Mother Christmas before meeting Father Christmas and stopping off at the elves’ workshop to collect a gift.

Entrance on a weekend also includes the usual farm favourites such as pedal Go-Karts, frisbee golf, Jurassic Canyon sand and fossil dig, tractor rides, an animal barn with goats, chickens, pigs, horses, cows, rabbits and guinea pigs, JCB Big Dig Zone and giant jumping pillows as well as the huge indoor soft play. Entrance on a weekday includes the Adventure Farm’s soft play as well as the magical North Pole experience.

New for 2023 the twinkling light walkway will also illuminate the path into the North Pole Adventure with a 6 metre light tunnel and light curtains creating a magical entrance on dark winter nights.

The North Pole Adventure opens on Saturday 25th November and will run on selected dates all the way up to 24th December. Tickets start from £36 for children and £25 for adults and include entrance to the farm and light trail, as well as the 1 hour and 45 minute fully immersive Christmas trip to the North Pole.
